This is an online game about art history and art composition. In the game, you play a 1940's noir detective with a degree in art history. A distraught woman asks you to identify the artist who made a painting she found in her grandfather's attic. To do so, you must examine paintings by famous artists from Gauguin to Van Gogh. Each example highlights an art concept such as composition, style or subject. The story concludes with an appropriate noirish twist, as the woman's true identity and motives become apparent.

15 minute Video & Lesson for Grades 3-5 “This program begins with an introduction of how America began - Columbus's voyage to the New World, the establishment of the 13 colonies, and the colonies' struggle for independence - and then focuses on the make up of the American government. Why are rules important for a community? Why is organization important? Our government has guides and rules such as the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that protect Americans’ freedoms and rights. There are structures, such as the Supreme Court, Congress, and the executive branch of the government, that are set up to help keep America running successfully and smoothly. The structures and documents of the American government are made clear in ways children can understand.”

Edsitement: The Constititon of the United States
September 17th is Constitution Day, commemorating the day in 1787 when the Founding Fathers signed one of America’s most important documents. The United States Constitution is the oldest written national constitution still in operation, and many of the nations that have established themselves in the decades since that day in 1787 have turned to this document as a model for their own constitutions. As a document which defines the structure of our Federal government and delineates the rights of the states within the union, and individual citizens within the nation, the Constitution has become a symbol to Americans and to the world of the American government and way of life. What better way to celebrate this important document, its place within our society, and within our history, than to investigate the words of this document up close. Teachers, parents, caregivers, and students, jump on board for a tour of the United States Constitution! Lessons are organized by grade level.
