Calcasieu Parish School System
   LA4    Title I    8(g)

Our Mission

To provide a solid foundation for four-year-old students by introducing learning experiences that may enrich, encourage, and promote learning through play.  The use of the environment in their everyday lives provides opportunities for the children to develop and grow in the cognitive, social-emotional, physical, and oral language development areas. We believe regular attendance, parental involvement, schools, community, and family services working together are essential for young children to succeed.

Funding Sources

Calcasieu Parish Schools Pre-kindergarten programs are funded by state and federal funds. The primary funding sources are, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
(TANF), Board of Elementary and Secondary Education
(8g), and Title I Federal Programs.

Depending on these funding source guidelines, tuition may be charged at some schools
