Title I
Mobile Classroom
Overview:
The Title I
Mobile Classroom serves Non Public
School children that would be
receiving services in the Title I
Public School System. The Mobile
Classroom is equipped with a
Computer Assisted Instruction Lab.
About
the Program:
The students receive extra
help and also work on
Success Maker an excellent computer program
in reading and math. This
computer program is a vital
part of all the Title I
schools in Calcasieu
Parish. The program keeps a
record of student progress
using the management system
from the CAI lab and these
progress reports are printed
and given to each teacher.
A letter is also sent home
at the end of the second,
third and last nine weeks
marking period giving
the percent in the math,
reading or both areas the
student is making at that
time.

Eligibility:
Students are
eligible based on
several criteria:
1.) Students must
live in a Title I
public school zone:
(ex. Barbe Elem.,
St. John Elem,
Nelson Elem, etc.)
.
2.) S.A.T. scores in
the total reading
and/or total math
section - Students
scoring below 50% on
either total reading
or total math are
qualified.
3.) The
classroom teacher
may also make
recommendations. |
