Enter the date for the next live electronic field trip on your calendar. On Tuesday, February 10th, 2009 at 9 am students in grades 6 -9 are invited to visit Fort Davis to learn about the Buffalo Soldiers, African Americans in the Frontier Army. Not until 1866 could black men enlist in the Regular Peacetime Army.
