The Science Club is a club for 8th graders who have an interest in science.  In order to be a member of the Science Club, students must submit an essay to Mrs. Sanders (the club sponsor) expressing why he or she wants to join.  He or she must also maintain a 2.5 GPA in science and participate in the annual school science fair held at our school. 

The club usually offers a variety of ways to have students  a chance to participate in numerous science-related projects in the community like the annual Beach Sweep. 

 Students hear guest speakers in science-related careers speak about his or her career.

Students go on several field trips and participate in hands-on learning activities, such as the annual trip to SASOL. 
 

The overall goal of the club is to promote interest in the area of science.
