All
Calcasieu Parish School System schools and offices will be closed
on September 1, 2, and 3 (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).
Days
that schools are closed also indicates that there is a mandatory
“no school activities” also. This includes practices for
sports, club meetings, etc.
The
School Board meeting scheduled for September 2nd has been rescheduled
for September 9th and 4:45 p.m.

to DeQuincy Middle School. DMS is a Calcasieu Parish school located
in DeQuincy, Louisiana. It is home to 315 students in grades sixth,
seventh, and eighth.

Orientation schedule:
6th grade - Monday. Aug. 11, 6:30PM
7th and 8th grade - Tuesday Aug. 12 6:30PM
At orientation, parents will be able to pay school fees,
$20, purchase a spirit shirt, $12, and purchase a yearbook,
$27 without name or $30 with name. They may also pre-pay for
lunches in the cafeteria.
DMS new student registration will begin Monday, August 4
and will continue until Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 8:30AM each
morning and ending at 11:30AM. This is regestration for students
that were not enrolled in DeQuincy schools as of May 31.
Parents need to bring health records, birth certificate,
social security cards, proof of address, and the student's
last report card.
