  • Congratulations! Dolby Achieves Lighthouse Status!

Dolby Elementary is the first Lighthouse School in Lake Charles, and in Calcasieu Parish! The Leader in Me Lighthouse School title is awarded by Franklin Covey to honor the attainment of a well-rounded leadership model. Lighthouse Schools serve as models of leadership and mentors to other schools. It is sort of like getting your black belt. Throughout our journey into the Leader In Me process, Lighthouse Status has been our End in Mind. We are so proud of our students, faculty, and parents for the hard work and dedication they have shown in achieving this goal. We are creating LEADERS every day! Our journey doesn't end here! There are only 139 Lighthouse Schools in the world. Now that we are one, we will continue to grow through the Leader In Me program and shine as a model LIM School. For more information, check out the Leader in Me website at: http://www.theleaderinme.org/
