Definition:
An Anchor Activity is a strategy that allows students to work on ongoing assignment directly related to the curriculum that can be worked on independently throughout a unit or a semester.  An Anchor Activity is a logical extension of learning a unit, an elaboration of important goals and outcomes that are tied to the curriculum, and tasks that students are held accountable.  "How to Differentiate Instruction in Mixed-Ability Classrooms"- Dr. Carol Tomlinson

Task Overview
The participant will engage in online literary activities based on Caldecott Award Winning Author, David Wiesner's book, "The Three Pigs." 
At Level One,
participants will analyze story elements through creative writing, compare and contrast Fairy Tales using a Venn Diagram, arrange story sequence, utilize logical problem solving to solve a puzzle, and engage in an online WebQuest.
At Level Two and Three, participants will use the digital camera to create a story board and build a digital story using Photo Story 3/Power Point Software.
