Overview
Students will use Inspiration on the handhelds to create an outline for their research paper "The Day You Were Born".

Objectives
1. The student will locate, select, and evaluate information in printed text, the internet, and other media on "The Day You Were Born".

1. The student will use Inspiration concept mapping to outline the main ideas for the research paper.

Procedures
1. Students will conduct research into what happened on the specific day they were born.
2. They will be asked to create a concept map using Inspiration.
3. This concept map will consist of the following: Main Idea and 4 categories (International News, National News, Health/Medicine/Science News, and Sports/Leisure/Art/Music/Fashion News). All should link from the Main Idea Box (The Day You Were Born).
4. Facts will be gathered to support these four categories. These facts will be linked to the appropriate fact box.
5. After gathering and arranging all facts in the best order, they will put the chart into outline form and beam the outline to the teacher for evaluation.
