Procedures
This activity will be used as both a review and quiz for the play Romeo and Juliet. This activity will be used after reading the entire play.
1. Distribute the handhelds and have the students open the Word program.
2. After students have opened Word, assign each student one of the quotes.
3. Students will then look up the quote in their text book, find the act and scene, and then paraphrase the quote.
4. Once they have paraphrased the quote, students will then explain the significance of the quote to the play.
5. Once students have completed this part, they will write their findings in notebook.
6. Before students beam the teacher the end result, they may beam each other and perform an editing process.
7. Once they finish this, they will beam the teacher their findings.
8. Early finishers will work on their study guide for the final.
9. After all assignments have been beamed to the teacher, the teacher will have all students open Inspiration.
10. The students will then make a Bubble Map for the character of their quote.
11. The students will place their character’s name in the center, and then place that character’s personality traits around in separate bubbles.
12. The student will also beam this to the teacher when finished.
13. The teacher will display Bubble Maps and paraphrasings to the class on the projector as a review for the final.
