Students will read about how an idea becomes a law. Students will watch the video I'm Just A Bill. Students will take notes in notepad or memo on how an idea becomes a law. Students will beam the notes to one another in their group. Students will discuss the notes and decide the steps it takes for an idea to become a law. Once the students in the group agrees, one student from each group will record the steps in memo or notepad. When this is completed another student will come to my handheld and get the correct steps beamed to their handheld. Students will then go back and compare the two lists. After everyone is finished with the activity, we will review the steps on the bulletin board. I will then have students act out the steps to check for understanding.
