Procedures
 Opening: Today you will work with a partner to discover how to use the Voice Memo/Voice Recorder on the Zire 72 handheld computer. (assign partners) I will provide you with a Zire 72 and a diagram of the Zire 72.
 Your initial task is composed of 3 parts. First, you must figure out how to record your voice onto the Zire 72. Next, you must discover how to playback and listen to your recording. Finally, you must beam your recording to your partner. There may be more than one way to accomplish your task. (Pass out materials.) (Allow students to become proficient at this level before moving on to the next task.)
 Once you have completed your initial task, you may begin your secondary task. This is your secondary task. (assign partner A and partner B) Partner A will go to the easy section of the library and select a book from the shelf. (Partner B must sit at the table with their head down.) Partner A will record the title and author of the book using Voice Memo/Voice Recorder. Partner A will return the book to the shelf. Partner A returns to Partner B and beams the information to them. Partner B uses the information to find the book that Partner A selected. (Partner A accompanies Partner B during their search. Partner A either confirms Partner B’s success or coaches Partner B to aide in success.)
 Partner A and Partner B switch roles and repeat activity as many times as time will permit.
