Overview
This lesson will serve as an introduction to the handheld with a group of 2nd grade students. The students will have to describe attributes of their family starting with themselves.

The PalmOne Zire 72

Objectives
The students will complete a template entitled “All About Me”.
The students will use technology to convey information about them.

Procedures
The teacher will give each student a template to be completed telling all about themselves.
1st line-Name and school
2nd line-Complete address
3rd line-My parents are…..
4th line-Siblings…..
5th line-Things I like to do in my free time…..
6th line-What I want to be when I grow up……
Using Sketchy, the student will draw a picture of him/herself.
Once the template is completed the students will beam their finished product to another pre-assigned student. That student in turn will add a nice compliment about the student and then beam it back to the original student.

Finished products will be beamed to the teacher’s station and printed for all to share.
