Counting on Handhelds

Overview
TLW verbally identify, count, and write numbers 1-10. They will also find items in their everyday lives to illustrate each number using handhelds, and then sync the information and create a powerpoint.

Objectives
Objectives: TLW identify and write numbers 1-10; TLW count by rote 1-10; TLW arrange objects they find in everyday life to correspond to numbers 1-10;TLW capture a digital image of the numbers they write and the objects; TLW use these images to create a powerpoint.
Procedures
Procedures: TTW show numbers 1-10 to students and have them identify the numbers. TTW have students count the number of boys present and the number of girls present. TTW ask the students to get one object in the classroom. TTW ask a student to write the number 1 on a paper. TTW ask the child to take a picture of their number 1 and ask the other child to take a picture of their one object. TTW continue this procedure through to the number 10. TTW then create a powerpoint after syncing information. TTW then assign each child to create their own number presentation at home. TLW bring the palms back to school at the end of the week to create a powerpoint at school.
