Mardi Gras 2017

W.W. Lewis’s 8th annual Mardi Gras Court was held on February 17th. Our main focus for this event is to raise money for Louisiana Association of Student Council’s state charity. Each year LASC state officers choose a worthy cause in Louisiana, and student councils across the state work hard to fund raise. This event has been a huge success for several years by bringing home the grand champion fund raiser for the middle level for the past 6 years. For the past 3 years, we raised more money than any school in the entire state of Louisiana, including the high schools! Thanks to your support, we were able to donate $12,000 to Cleft for a Cause. The grand total from the entire state was over $60,000. Our state officers will soon pick another worthy cause for this year’s contributions to go toward.

We would like to take this opportunity to give big thanks to some very special people who without them tonight would not have been possible.

Billy Navarre Chevrolet- Especially Ryan Navarre and Tony Tramonte for pairing up with us this year and providing all the Court and Krewe T-shirts at no expense to students, which means more for the charity. If you are looking for a vehicle make sure to go by Billy Navarre Chevrolet and give them a chance to earn your business we appreciate and promote support from our local businesses.
