BIONIC Week is this week! Today is “Make it a Sweet Start to the Week”. Bring flour, sugar, or evaporated milk. Tomorrow is “Beans & Rice Tuesday”. Bring bags of dried beans & rice. Wednesday is “Peanut Butter Wednesday”. Bring jars of peanut butter. Thursday is “Corn Bread Thursday”. Bring boxes of cornbread mix. Friday is “Food in a Can Friday”. Bring canned vegetables and fruit.
Beta is collecting Toys for Tots and food donations for Care Help. Boxes are located outside of room 1107, by the front office. Members will receive points for donations. Beta is also collecting used glasses for the Lions Club. The first hour class to turn in the most by January 10th will be awarded donuts. Frames must be in workable condition.
BIONIC Week (believe it or not, I care) will be Monday 12/9 through 12/13. A list of items to be brought to your 1st hour will be displayed around campus and in each teacher’s classroom. Classrooms in each building who bring the most items will win a donut party from Student Council
The next FBLA meeting will be before school at 7:30 and during RTI on Thursday, December 12 in Room 5204. Be sure you have your district and FBLA permission slips to turn in and have decided what tests you will compete in for district. See a sponsor if you have any questions.
Seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale are advised that applications for the SHS Student of the Year are now available in the guidance office. If you meet the specified criteria and would like to compete for this honor, please pick up an application packet and return it to Ms. Andrews by 8am on Wednesday, December 11th. Late applicants will be disqualified.
Mrs. Kinney in room 5204 is selling long-sleeved SHS t-shirts and sweatshirts. The t-shirts are $18 and the sweatshirts are $22. Both are navy blue with a tornado and a retro-looking 14. They are nice to have with the weather getting cool! First come/first served! Get yours while they last!
