The purpose
and goal of Library Services is to provide support and assistance to the librarians in the
Calcasieu Parish School System. This includes:
leadership at the district level assuring high quality
library media programs for each school; and coordination and
distribution of budgeting and ordering procedures which
assist the librarian in purchasing materials and books.
Library Services also
acts as the receiving agent for over 10,000 library
books annually and prepares the books for distribution to
the schools.
