The role of the Social
Worker is to
provide specialized support for special education students who
demonstrate an educational need for therapeutic services after
less-restrictive interventions have been conducted. Services
may be provided to students through individual sessions, group sessions,
family meetings, and consultation with school
officials and outside agencies.
