If you
are in the middle of a Microsoft PowerPointŪ presentation and want
to open a slide out of order, just type the slide number and press
ENTER. This works best when you know the number of the slide you
want. (Hint: It's a good idea to print out a copy of your
presentation for reference.) If you don't know the slide
number, there's another method you can use: Right-click the slide,
point to "Go" on the shortcut menu, point to "By Title", and then click
the slide title you want. |

Being
able to customize the Windows XP interface is good as long as
you realize that it's easy to loose track of where you put
things once you change them. The Taskbar is a good example of
this. It's good to remember you can always retrieve the
Taskbar by pressing Ctrl+Esc. Even if you hide the Taskbar, or
move it to a different part of the screen, you should always
be able to find it by pressing Ctrl and Esc together. |

Finding
Sites you Already Visited |
|
|
|
When you are searching the Internet
and would like to go back several sites, in Netscape the "Go" at
the top will list several of the last sites visited. Just click on
the one you want to go back to. If you are using Internet
Explorer, there is a very small down arrow just to the right of
"Back" that will do the same thing. |

How To
Clear Excel Formatting |
|
|
If you have
modified the cell formats in a range of cells and need to get
back to the original formatting without losing data, select the cells
you want to clear and choose Edit|Clear|Formats. Doing so will take
you back to the default format. It will leave your data intact.

By
default, sent messages end up in the Outbox folder and don't
actually make their way to the server until you click the Send
And Receive button, (or until Outlook automatically sends and
receives messages, based on the interval you've specified).
You can skip all this rigmarole with one simple setting change
and have Outlook send your messages right away. Simply select
Tools, Options and click the Mail Delivery tab. Under Mail
Account Options, select Send Messages Immediately, then click
OK. Now whenever you click Send you really will send the
message!
