CPSB Teachers Make an IMPACT

The primary purpose of the CPSB Technology Department's IMPACT (Integrating Meaningful Practices Aligned with Curriculum and Technology) training is to assist teachers with technology integration to advance curriculum-based education in our district. Each year, with the support of the Curriculum Department, the Technology Training Center plans and develops technology integration strategies to support relevant grade levels and content-specific curriculum utilizing various web tools and technology resources available for use in district classrooms.

IMPACT participants apply their knowledge and the tools to develop relevant, technology-enriched, standards-aligned content to use in their classrooms. This year, teachers are exploring how Windows 10, Microsoft's Office 365, and other research-proven technology tools can be used in 4th grade and middle and high school math classrooms to support curriculum integration and student achievement. So far, more than 150 middle and high school math teachers have attended the 2.5 days of professional development with over 100 more expected through the fall.
