What's the Deal with
Windows 10 Updates?

Starting with Windows 10, Microsoft has moved to an update model that is more like how updates on mobile operating systems like iOS or Android work. Microsoft now differentiates between security updates and feature updates. A security update patches a bug in the system. These updates help to make sure things are running smoothly and attackers can’t get into the computer. Feature updates are released by Microsoft every six months.

At this time, any Windows 10 updates to CPSB devices are to be installed only through the CPSB Software Center. To access Software Center, type Software Center in the search box located in the lower-left corner of the taskbar. Once opened, click on Updates to view any required updates which can be installed by clicking the blue Install or Install All button.
