I am from Sulphur, Louisiana. I attended McNeese State University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies. I taught in Iowas my first year. The following year I taught at Barbe High School and continued there until 2002. I left to obtain a Library Science degree in 2004 from McNeese. I worked at the Calcasieu Parish library for a few years before going to Pearl Watson Elementary, where I was a Librarian for ten years. Then, I came to LaGrange in 2019. I am single and have no children, but have numerous nieces and nephews.
