My name is Glenn Long. I’m a Social Studies Teacher of more than 20 years experience; all of those years spent right here in the heel of the boot (Southwest Louisiana). I have worked a wide variety of jobs including fiberglass production, cook, photographer, film lab technician, sales, restaurant management, and even bumper car ticket taker. My love of history has allowed me to do some interesting things including firing a catapult, putting on armor and battling armored fighters, sieging a castle, assaulting a castle, sword fighting at the Texas Renaissance Festival, touring ancient cathedrals, and a host of other history related things. My goal is to instill an interest in all things history! After all, You can't know where you are going if you don't know where you have been!
