This is my 10th year teaching at E.K. Key. In the past I've taught every grade except 1st grade at various schools such as Vinton Elementary and Fairview Elementary. I found my home at E.K. Key teaching 5th grade at first, then moving to the STEM building for 2 years. During the "hurricane year" I was moved to 4th grade on the main campus and I fell in love with teaching all over again. I feel that I found my true passion for education in this grade level. I've also added 5th grade science to my toolbox as well. 

I love to spend time with my family by taking trips with our ATV's and participating in various Boy Scouts activities. 

I was born in Crowley, LA but I was raised in a small country town Lyons Point, which is 8 miles South of Crowley. I enjoyed playing outside with my cousins/neighbors until it was dark outside. I was an honor student in school and joined the band in middle school. I stayed in band all through college where I met my husband. Currently, our oldest son is following in our band footsteps in middle school.
