Mrs. Kelly Clark
I have a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and Sociology, and a minor in English, all from McNeese. I originally pursued a career in high school English, and taught for three years with my post-baccalaureate certification. I decided to be a stay-at-home mom to my two great kids until they began school. During that time, I received my Master's Degree from the University of Missouri in Gifted Education, and became certified to teach elementary school as well.
My life has always been surrounded by music. I dabble in piano, violin, and guitar, having taken lessons as a child in each. I sang in high school choir, and also played handbells at my church for eight years. My instruments of choice, though, are the flute and piccolo. I played with the Lake Charles Community Band from 2005-2015, and was a board member as well. I have passion for teaching children the inner workings of music, as I believe that music is something everyone can enjoy, whether active or passive, when they are able to appreciate the complexities within the music around us.
