I graduated from McNeese State University with a BA degree in Elementary Education and

later received my Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling.  As a DeQuincy native, I started

my teaching career in January of 1984 at DeQuincy Elementary School, but DeQuincy Middle School has been

my home since the fall of 1984 and is where I taught 8th grade math for 24 years.  I am on my 14th year

in the counselors office and believe every student is worthy of a positive, safe place to learn.  Education

is the key to success no matter the path you take in life and kindness will unlock so many possibilities.
