Mr. Jordy M. Stanley

Jordy M. Stanley is a native of DeQuincy, LA. He graduated from Sam Houston High School with both an academic and career/technical endorsement. After high school, Mr. Stanley attended McNeese State Univeristy where he studied Voice with Dr. Carol Lines, Piano with Dr. Christy Corley and Dr. Lina Morita, and Conducting/Choral Music Education with Dr. Darryl Jones. While at McNeese, he participated in many ensembles such as Chamber Singers, Men's Ensemble, and Opera Workshop. Mr. Stanley was also selected to be a part of the American Choral Director's Association Collegiate Honor Chorus in Louisiana. Other performances included the 75th Anniversary of McNeese and Theatre Musical Revue, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Touring with the Chamber Singers. Mr. Stanley also served as President of the McNeese Chamber Singers and librarian for the Choral Department. Mr. Stanley graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor's of Music Education in Voice, Grades K-12.

Mr. Stanley is currently pursuing a Master's of Music Education at Florida State University as part of a three summer program. He is expected to graduate in the summer of 2022. 

Mr. Stanley has performed with several ensembles in the area. He is currently singing in the Louisiana Choral Foundation Masterwork's Choral. In addition to the group, he also performs a benefit musical revue every year. In the past, Mr. Stanley has participated in many musicals with Artists Civic Theatre and Studio. Some shows in which he has performed in include: Seusical the Musical, White Christmas, and My Favorite Things. Currently, Mr. Stanley is the choral director at Good Shepherd Epicopal Church in Lake Charles. Other performance ensembles include University United Methodist Chancel Choir and Hanbell Choir, St. Margaret Cantor, and Renaissance Southwest.

Mr. Stanley's professional experience includes teaching at First Baptist Christian Academy and Brentwood Elementary. He is currently a board memeber of the Louisiana Choral Foundation and Chairperson of District V Honor Chorus for middle school. 

Mr. Stanley's professional affliations include: Louisiana Music Educators' Association, American Choral Director's Association, Organization of American Kodály Educators, District V Vocal Music Teacher's Organization, and Alumni Member of Phi Mu Alpha, Sinfonia Music Fraternity of America.

Mr. Stanley was named District V Vocal Music Teacher of the Year for the 2019-2020 school year!
