The CPSB R3 Zone is a multi-year improvement plan for identified persistently struggling schools. The CPSB School Redesign Plan implements this Zone Strategy that focuses on setting ambitious goals, building community-based accountability, recruiting top educators, and providing intensive supports for teachers and principals.

CPSB R3 Zone Goals

Dr. Marcus Jackson is in his 18^th year as an educator. He has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and administrator in elementary, middle, high school, and college professor. His passion for teaching and learning coupled with a vision for developing a community of leaders has procured a culture of excellence and high standards for learning amid a positive school culture for students and staff. 

He has a Bachelors in Management, Bachelors in Elementary Education, Masters in Educational Supervision and Administration, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Supervision, and has been trained at Harvard University for School Turnaround Leaders.

He has written several articles for a variety of publications and has been featured in several articles for his leadership. He’s responsible for transforming the 13 low performing schools in the parish. He believes in the power of collaboration, continuous learning, hard work, celebrating progress, and ensuring that each and every child receives a world class education.
