SWLA Esports Fall 2022 Results
Ten teams from the SWLA region competed in our esports tournament. In Valorant, Barbe High School was undefeated with 8 wins. Sulphur placed second with 7 wins, coming up just short in the competition for first with Barbe. LaGrange High School clinched third place, winning 5 rounds. The results were very similar in Rocket League, with Barbe claiming first place, followed closely by Sulphur, with round totals of 8 and 7, respectively; Bell City High soundly secured third place with a total of 5 round victories. These schools have been working to develop their esports programs over the last few years and several have found success in multiple leagues. As school programs continue to grow, more students will have the opportunity to participate by testing their metal to find out if they have what it takes to be an esport athlete.
