The purpose and goal of Library Services is to provide support and assistance to the librarians in the Calcasieu Parish School System. This includes:

  • Leadership at the district level assuring high quality library media programs for each school.
  • Coordination and distribution of budgeting and ordering procedures which assist the librarian in purchasing materials and books.

Library Services also acts as the receiving agent for over 50,000 library books annually and prepares each one for distribution to the schools.
