Summer Feeding
Summer feeding programs will be available for students and families during the summer of 2026.
If you live in the Vinton, DeQuincy, or LeBleu Settlement communities, please register for summer meal box pick-ups here. Information about these meals can be found below.
Q: Who is eligible to receive a meal box?
A: Anyone 18 years or under is eligible to receive a meal box. One box is allowed per child.
Q: Where will meal boxes be available:
A: DeQuincy Middle, Vinton Elementary, and LeBleu Settlement Elementary
Q: Why are these the only locations?
A: Non-congregate meal boxes are allowed only in rural areas (as defined in 7CFR 225.2) where no congregate meal service is available.
Q: When will be the boxes be distributed?
A: Meal boxes will be distributed every Wednesday from June 3rd-July 22nd from 8 a.m - 1 p.m.
Q: What is in the box?
A: Each box contains 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches. The individual items may vary, and pictures of the items will be shared as available.
Q: What do I need to do to receive a box for my child(ren)?
A: Register using the form provided, fill out the form completely, be present on the date and time of distribution, and bring your driver's license.
Q: Where else can my child(ren) have access to summer meals?
A: The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has a variety of locations throughout the parish where children can eat.
Meals will be provided in all other Calcasieu communities by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. Locations and additional details are still being finalized, so please stay tuned for additional information.
