Technology Training Center & New Teacher Academy 

At CPSB’s Technology Training Center, we are committed to ensuring that new teachers have the knowledge and support they need to integrate technology into their classrooms effectively. In collaboration with the New Teacher Academy, we offer a variety of resources, training sessions, and support systems to help educators navigate the digital tools available in our district. 

New Teacher Technology Extravaganza 

Before the school year begins, we host the New Teacher Technology Extravaganza, a hands-on, interactive event designed to introduce educators to the essential technology platforms used throughout CPSB. During this event, teachers: 

  • Learn how to access and utilize ClassLink/LaunchPad for single sign-on convenience. 

  • Get an introduction to Canvas, our district’s Learning Management System, including course organization, assignments, and student interaction tools. 

  • Explore Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 

  • Discover tools like Kami and Pear Deck to enhance student engagement. 

  • Learn what support is offered by our Technology Coordinator and Technology Facilitators. 

Ongoing Support Throughout the Year 

Technology learning doesn’t stop after the Extravaganza! We provide continuous support and professional development opportunities through: 

  • Webinars–Online workshops covering essential tech tools and strategies. 

  • On-Demand Online Courses – Self-paced learning modules available at any time. 

  • School-Based & Virtual Coaching – One-on-one and small group assistance for troubleshooting and deeper learning.
