Tech Quest for Teachers
Overview
The Tech Quest Canvas course is designed for CPSB teachers to enroll in and learn how to use district technology in order to leverage the features in meaningful ways that support teaching and learning.
Levels
Each quest is organized in Canvas course modules. Teachers may complete one or both to earn a badge and an extra Tech Point for leveling up their tech skills.
Level 1: LEARN
This level provides step-by-step instructions for how to use a district tool feature and includes a task for teachers to complete to demonstrate their understanding.
Level 2: LEVERAGE
This level asks teachers to apply the skill learned in Level 1 in a way that supports their classroom.

Kami Collaborative Activities
📓 Level 1: Learn how to create and share Kami collaborative activities for 1 Tech Point.

Canva: Creating Announcements

Pear Deck Interactive Lessons
📓 Level 1: Learn how to create and share Pear Deck interactive activities for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Complete a curriculum connected activity with students for 1 Tech Point.
ClassLink for Resource Management
📓 Level 1: Learn how to customize your LaunchPad to manage your resources for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Set up My Classes feature in your LaunchPad and create an app for students to access for 1 Tech Point.
Canvas Studio YouTube Quizzes
📓 Level 1: Learn how to create and share a Canvas Studio YouTube Quiz for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Complete a curriculum connected activity with students for 1 Tech Point.
Promethean ActivPanels V7, V9, & V10
📓 Level 1: Learn how to connect your panel to CPSB Wi-Fi, update your panel, and explore the apps in the Promethean ActivSuite for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Complete a curriculum connected activity with students for 1 Tech Point.
Introduction to AI for Teachers
📓 Level 1: Learn about AI and its current role in CPSB, then earn a 90% or better on a 10-question quiz for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Use an AI tool to generate content about your classroom for students and families and provide a reflection about it for 1 Tech Point.
Tech Wellness Toolkit
📓 Level 1: Learn about and access Headspace for Educators (free for K-1 teachers), then share something you found that you found useful for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Learn about GoNoodle (free), then select a video or activity and use in the classroom with a student or all students for 1 Tech Point.
Canvas Calendar Features
📓 Level 1: Learn how to create a calendar event for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Create an assignment from the Calendar to use with students for 1 Tech Point.
Canvas + Kami Assignments
📓 Level 1: Learn how to create and share a Kami Assignment in Canvas for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Create a Kami Assignment in Canvas and have your students complete the assignment for 1 Tech Point.
Microsoft Outlook Calendar & Calendar Groups
📓 Level 1: Learn how to use Outlook calendar to schedule events, set reminders, and create a shared calendar for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Create a calendar group. Move shared calendars to the group. Add events for parents, students, or teaching team for efficient communication and collaboration for 1 Tech Point.
Microsoft Forms
📓 Level 1: Learn how to create and share a Microsoft Form with students for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Create a Microsoft Form and have your students complete the assignment for 1 Tech Point.
Tech Support: incidentIQ
📓 Level 1: Learn how to access Incident IQ to view all assets assigned to you as well as how to request a device be assigned/unassigned for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Learn how to locate guides and handouts for common CPSB technology issues in the Incident IQ Knowledge Base for 1 Tech Point.
MagicSchool as a Teaching Tool
📓 Level 1: Learn how use MagicSchool AI tools for lesson planning and classroom support for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Set up and use MagicSchool Student Rooms to engage learners for 1 Tech Point.
Introduction to Minecraft Education
📓 Level 1: Learn how to navigate the Minecraft Education App for 1 Tech Point.
💻 Level 2: Complete a Minecraft Education curriculum connected discussion for 1 Tech Point
How to Participate
CPSB teachers can self-enroll in the course and those already enrolled can click this LINK to launch the Tech Quest Canvas course.
