Calcasieu Parish School Board will host a pre-service and behind-the-wheel training for substitute school bus drivers at the Calcasieu Parish School Board Department of Transportation Office located at 3310 E. Broad Street on the dates and times shown below. Completing this course is required by the Louisiana Department of Education and Calcasieu Parish School Board policy for all persons who want to become a certified Louisiana substitute school bus driver. All classes will be held in the upstairs classroom at the Transportation Office at 3310 E. Broad Street. Please dress comfortably for all training, especially for Saturday. Saturday will be an all-day hands-on training on how to pre-trip the school bus, so getting dirty is a possibility.

Anyone interested in applying for a position as a substitute school bus driver for the Calcasieu Parish School System must complete this training. An online application to apply is available at this website (Click Here).
