    Grading Policy Updates

    Connected Classroom (Fully Online) Students

How many Odysseyware assignments am I required to complete?

As a full-time online student, you are required to complete all online courses on your schedule in their entirety to receive credit.

What are the deadlines for Odysseyware assignments?

All online work for the 1st and 2nd nine weeks will be due at the end of the 2nd marking period.

All Odysseyware coursework for the 3rd and 4th marking periods will be due at the district’s set deadlines for those marking periods.

The program-set deadlines in Odysseyware are not accurate since you have until the end of the 2nd marking period to complete any Odysseyware work from the 1st and 2nd marking periods.

When will I get my report card?

There will not be a report card for the 1st marking period.

You will receive your first report card at the end of the 2nd nine weeks. This report card will have grades for both the 1st and 2nd marking periods.

Where do I go to see my current grade in the class?

Check Student Progress Center for an accurate reflection of your grade.

Odysseyware does NOT reflect the correct average for your grade. It ONLY averages what assignments you completed and does not consider assignments that you did not do.

Temporarily Online Students (Face-to-Face When School Opens)

How many Odysseyware assignments am I required to complete?

    • September 28 to October 2= 1 grade
    • October 5 to 9= 1 grade
    • October 12 to 16= 1 grade

Each school site will count 1 OW grade a week when not in session/open.

Schools will use the start date of September 28 to count weeks.

Example: School A opens to face-to-face instruction on October 19, so a total of 3 OW grades/assignments would be required for students in this scenario.

What if I completed more than the required number of assignments?

Example: School A has 5 required OW assignments.

    • The teacher will take the best of OW grades required if the student did more than the set number.
    • Teachers will award bonus points for additional work outside of the required number of assignments.

Example: Student A has completed 8 OW assignments when she returns to school. The teacher will take the best 5 of the 8 OW assignments completed. For the 3 remaining OW assignments, the teacher will award bonus points.

What if I was unable to complete any or all Odysseyware assignments when my school was not in session?

Example: Student A returns to school where 5 OW grades are required. The student has only completed 2 OW assignments.

    The teacher can either:

    1. Require the student to complete the 3 missing OW assignments, or
    2. Assign other work to make up for the missing OW assignments.

Teachers will use the set number of OW grades for their school OR other assignments identified by the teacher for students without any OW grades or with missing OW grades.

What are the grade deadlines for Odysseyware assignments?

All Odysseyware/teacher supplemented work from the 1st and 2nd nine weeks will be due at the end of the 2nd marking period.

The program-set deadlines in Odysseyware are not accurate since you have until the end of the 2nd marking period to complete any Odysseyware or teacher-assigned work from the time that your school was not in session.

Assignments from your teachers once your school is in session will follow grading and deadline policies set by your teachers.

When will I get my report card?

There will not be a report card for the 1st marking period.

You will receive your first report card at the end of the 2nd nine weeks. This report card will have grades for both the 1st and 2nd marking periods.

Where do I go to see my current grade in each class?

Check Student Progress Center for an accurate reflection of your grade.

Odysseyware does NOT reflect the correct average for your grade. It only averages what assignments you completed and does not consider assignments that you did not do.
