DEQUINCYHIGH SCHOOL

All children are important to us.

  • Registration

DeQuincy High School will register new students Monday through Wednesday, Aug. 5-7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students new to the Calcasieu Parish School System should bring the following documents to enroll:

    • Birth certificate,
    • Social Security card,
    • Immunization record,
    • Photo identification of student's parent or guardian,
    • Verification of address, including an electric bill and an additional utility bill, showing the household's street address, and
    • Custody agreement, if applicable.

    Orientation

Orientation for all students will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 9-10 a.m. or from 1-2 p.m. in the school gym. Attendees should park in the student parking lot on the west side of campus and enter the gym through the doors on the west side of the gym.

At orientation, students may pay school fees of $30, take their student ID picture, pick up preordered school t-shirts, and, if they have paid their school fees, pick up their class schedule. School fees may be paid in person with cash or check, or attendees may use a smartphone to pay fees online using a credit or debit card.

Student fees may also be paid online.

School shirts will not be sold at orientation but can be ordered once classes begin. Students who ordered shirts online may pick them up at orientation.

Student parking tags will be available the first week of school for $10. Students must present a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance, and all fees must be paid, to purchase a parking tag.

The first day of school is Friday, Aug. 9. All seniors must report to first hour for homeroom.
