• COVID-19 Update

This is a reminder of resources that are FREE and awesome for your kids to be using from home NOW:

embarc.online – This is our entire Math curriculum. The last lesson we did was Module 6 lesson 16. It has videos to show the lesson, and you can see the Google slides (basically the lesson they would have gotten in school, just not in French).

This link, too. 2nd Grade Eureka Math PDF/Printable

Zearn – (Math) Your child knows their login. I will be checking their progress. If they've forgotten login info, e-mail me! zearn.org

Prodigy - (Math) The kids LOVE this game. I have assigned standards to change every three or four days to give the kids enough time to finish each assignment. Can download the App or go to play.prodigygame.com.

Epic! – (Reading) I will check their activity here as well. I created a French Collection for them, they just open their Epic! mailbox to access it. getepic.com

Science - 11 of the Best Science Websites for Interactive Learning If you need a teacher to create an account so you can access for free, let me know. I'll be happy to create one if your kiddo would love the site!

Social Studies - SS Printables This link has some AWESOME printables that address topics taught in 2nd grade.

Youtube – “Petit Nicolas” is a French cartoon. Each one is about 12 minutes long. There is a French version of “Captain Underpants” on Netflix.

You can search for “dessins animes en francais” which is “French cartoons”. You will probably recognize many of the choices.

You can change the audio with Netflix and other TV platforms to French.

The reason we want the kids to continue speaking, reading and listening to French is because they lose it quite rapidly when they don’t! We want to avoid that learning gap.

Feel free to e-mail me at megan.kambou@cpsb.org.
