If you signed up for (Virtual) Connected Classrooms you will need to pay a $25 registration fee online to the home school Oak Park Middle or pay in person at registration. If you require technology there is an additional $20 laptop fee. Laptops can be picked up at the Face-to-Face registration on August 4th -6th in the cafeteria from 9-1.
OPMS will be selling face masks with the school name/logo for $10. Masks can be purchased online starting this week. Masks will be distributed to students on the first day of school.
Face-to-Face registration will be held August 4th -6th in the school cafeteria from 9-1 (You MUST wear a mask to enter the building and only 1 person per student)
You only need to attend face to face registration if you DO NOT register online or need to submit permits, shot records, or would prefer to pay in person.
If you are new to Calcasieu Parish, returning from Charter or private school, you MUST obtain a permit from the Child Welfare and Attendance office at 2423 6th Street, Lake Charles, LA 70601 before registering, then go to:
www.cpsb.org > Parents > register a student (new, out of state, or out of parish only) You will need to upload copies of birth certificate, social security cards, and shot records or bring them in to Face to Face registration
If you moved or need to change your address please go to CWA for a new permit so that your address can be updated in our system. We can not change your address without a new permit. All mailings will go to the address in the system.
