Dr. Colin Broussard

Colin Broussard, PhD

Colin Broussard was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on April 24, 1994. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2016 at McNeese State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in foreign languages with a concentration in French. He received his Master of Arts in psychology with a concentration in general and experimental psychology from McNeese State University in the spring of 2018 after completing a master’s dissertation. Additionally, he obtained a Post-Baccalaureate teacher certification at McNeese State University in the spring 2018 to teach French in secondary education (grades 6-12) in Louisiana. Colin obtained his PhD in francophone studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in the summer of 2023 and currently teaches French at A.M. Barbe High School in Lake Charles. His research interests are pedagogy, second language acquisition, and the integration of culture in second language education. Colin Broussard has also studied abroad in many francophone countries including France, Belgium, and Canada.
