The general area of study for English II includes basic grammar, literature, composition, and vocabulary. We will be starting the year learning how to annotate, and write an essay before moving to our first unit, Rhetoric. This unit allows students to  read literary and informational texts to learn the differences between argument, persuasion, and propaganda based on how authors use rhetoric. This year we will also cover various poems, non-fiction writings, small writing projects, and incorporating research into some of our writing.
