Monday, September 26
We will continue reading "Flowers for Algernon" and fill in the Before and After surgery chart.

Wednesday, September 21
We will revise our written paragraphs in Lesson 10 and complete a central idea activity. We will also play a Kahoot it to review for the Quiz tomorrow.

September 20
We will complete the evidence chart on pages 30-31 of the guidebooks and work on composing a paragraph about the usefulness of projective tests. Quiz on Lessons 6-10 on Thursday.

September 19
We will be continuing to answer the questions on page 26-27 of our guidebook and we will begin Lesson 9: Apply Knowledge to "Flowers for Algernon."

Tuesday, September 13
ELA- We will begin Lesson 7: Understand An Argument. We will analyze the argument presented and locate evidence which supports the various claims made in the article we are reading. The article can be located on page 49 of their blue packet. We will then start filling in an H chart which will be due on Friday. Please see my HOMEWORK tab.

Thursday-
Students will complete their I-Ready assessments. We will also play a review game for their quiz on lessons 1-4 tomorrow.

Wednesday-
Students will take an I-Ready test to determine their reading level. Students will complete their theme paragraphs and begin inputting their Cold Read quiz scores into Edulastic.

Tuesday
We will review the questions on page 23 of the Guidebooks. We will watch a Khan Academy video called "Understanding theme." Next we will review the theme and apply this skill by identifying the theme of The Story of Prometheus.

Monday, August 29
We will finish highlighting and annotating character traits for part 1 and 2 of The Story of Prometheus. The story can be found on page 9 in the guidebooks. We will answer the discussion questions on page 23 of the guidebook and discuss how an author's word choice influences the tone.

Today we identified character traits in a Greek myth and continued writing a summary of the story "Prometheus". Final drafts are due Friday.
