These students will be recognized in the spring at the Annual Advanced Studies Awards Night.

September 2024

AP students in Calcasieu Parish work very hard over the course of their high school years to achieve success in Advanced Placement course work. Not only do our students earn college credit, but they also achieve AP Scholar recognition. This year the Advanced Studies Department proudly congratulates the 168 students who achieved AP Scholar status for 2024.

The College Board recognizes 3 levels of AP Scholar.  The first level is the AP Scholar Award which is given to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams.  The next level is AP Scholar with Honor which is given to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.  The highest level of the AP Scholar awards is AP Scholar with Distinction.  This award is given to students who receive an average of 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

The Advanced Studies Department will recognize these scholars in the spring at the Annual Advanced Studies Awards Night.
