CPSB Statement on I-10 Bridge Construction Project

Like many of you, we only recently learned the details of the new detours starting this week, and we are actively working to understand how they will affect daily operations. While we were aware of the bridge project, we were not informed of plans, including timing or location of detours, until recent weeks.

Transportation delays are expected parish-wide. This may include buses running behind schedule, as well as delays for transportation between campuses, field trips, and athletic events. Student safety remains our priority, and our staff is prepared to adjust as needed.

We are in ongoing conversations with project officials to stay updated and to advocate for timely information being provided to us moving forward. While these changes may cause some short-term challenges, we believe they are part of the long-term progress that will ultimately benefit our community.
