    BB Help

    Two resources that may help you when you are in need of Blackboard support are as follows:
    1. The BB Help Tab-
    When you log into Blackboard, you will see a BBHelp tab. Click on this tab and you will find numerous resources for the popular tasks that are done in Blackboard.
    2. Submit a Blackboard Tech Help Ticket-
    If you are unable to find the answer in the information at BBHelp, then submit a Tech Help ticket to the Blackboard workspace. Also, if you have recommendations for additional resources that would be helpful to include in the BBHelp tab, you may submit those in a ticket. To submit a Blackboard Tech Help ticket, click on Tech Help from the main CPSB webpage. Then, click on Submit a ticket. Finally, click on Blackboard and login using your firstname.lastname and the same password that you use to check your email.

This helps for easier navigation. Sometimes when you open the file then exit it closes you out of BB entirely.

    YouTube Videos Not Playing In Blackboard

    The technology department is aware of the YouTube issues within Blackboard. Please understand that Google owns YouTube so when Google changes anything - our district will have trouble. We are working on a solution. In the meantime, if going to another browser such as Firefox does not work, the only resolution is to download the free software, 4K Downloader, from home. Once the software is downloaded, convert the YouTube video to a .mp4 file and upload the converted YouTube video you need for instruction from home. This way you are assured the video will play the following day in your classroom.     Teachers can once again add YouTube Videos to their Blackboard website. The procedure has changed slightly. If you are a Google user and are currently signed into a Google account or Google drive, you will need to sign out before proceeding.

    If you are unable to add YouTube videos to a content area of your Blackboard, it may be because the tool is not turned on. To check to see if the YouTube Mashup is turned on in your course follow these directions:
    1. Click on the Customization which is located in the Control Panel.
    2. Click on Tool Availability.
    3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the tool, YouTube.
    4. Place a check in the box that is in the third column.
    5. Click Ok.

    Now, when you go to a Content tab in your course and click on Build Content, you should see the option, YouTube listed under Mashups.

    If your parents, students, or yourself are experiencing difficulties with YouTube videos playing in your blackboard site it might be due to how they are trying to get to the video. If they are trying to get to your blackboard site by selecting the school from the drop down menu on the main CPSB webpage (https://www.cpsb.org) and then clicking on the Faculty tab to locate your website, then the YouTube videos will not play. Click on the You Tube Blackboard Tip title above for further information.

    If you turn Edit Mode off, you will be able to view your site like a student would. Remember, student view does not always mean Guest access view. Follow theses steps to view your site as your parents or students would:1. Go to the CPSB Home page.2. Click on Blackobard.3. Click on Search Courses.4. Type in either your first name or last name, whichever is more unique. 5. Click Search. It should display your site. 6. Click on the blue hyperlinked, course title.
