  • Student Led Conferences and Mardi Gras Parades

    Student Led Conferences and Mardi Gras Parades will be Friday, February 21st. 3rd-5th Grade Student Led Conferences are from 9:15-9:45 with their Mardi Gras Parade following at 10:00. Pre-K students will walk in the parade at 10:00. K-2nd Grade Student Led Conferences will be from 1:00-1:30 with their Mardi Gras Parade following at 1:45.

  • Mardi Gras Holiday

    There will be no school Monday, February 24th-Wednesday, February 26th for the Mardi Gras Holiday. Students report back to school on Thursday, February 27th.

  • Dr. Seuss Week

    Cypress Cove will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Week from March 2nd-6th. Monday–Students can wear Red or Blue shirts with uniform bottoms for One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish day! Tuesday – Students can wear their favorite silly socks for Fox in Socks day! Wednesday–Students can wear green shirts with uniform bottoms because it is Green Eggs and Ham day! We will even have green scrambled eggs in the cafeteria for breakfast, yummy! Thursday–Wear your favorite hat for The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins day. Friday–Dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss character because it’s Cat in the Hat day! Take a picture with Ms. B that morning who will be dressed up as the Cat in the Hat!

  • School Performance Scores

    We are so proud of our students, teachers, staff, and CCE families! Cypress Cove Elementary continues to be a “B” school with growth of 4.2 points. We also received recognition from the state as an Equity Honoree! Cypress Cove is so proud to be named an Equity Honoree School this year. Schools on this list performed in the 90th percentile or above for students from the Black/African American, students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged, and/or English learners student groups, and did not earn any Urgent Intervention Required labels for student groups and/or discipline.

    Act 234 – Amends and reenacts La. R.S. 17:81 (Y) and 3996 (B) (35) to require the governing authority of each public elementary and secondary school to post on its website the phone number of the child protection toll-free hotline operated by the Department of Children and Family Services. The number is 1-855-452-5437.
