2022 - 2023 BACK TO SCHOOL INFORMATION

CALENDAR

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

All basic school supplies will be provided by CPSB! YAY! 
Students will need to bring the following items:

  • Refillable water bottle (brought to school daily)
  • Headphones or ear buds for personal student use (not wireless)
  • Backpack (no rollers)
  • Chairback, appx. 15.5" x 18" (Grades 2 - 5 ONLY)

Additional items requested by staff members have been added to an Amazon Wish List that can be found HERE. The generosity of our school community is appreciated! 

 

SPIRIT SHIRTS & UNIFORMS

Spirit shirts purchased from the T.S. Cooley spirit store can be worn daily by all students.

Shirts purchased by July 17th will be ready for the start of school.

The spirit store will reopen in August and January for additional orders throughout the year.

Students in grades 4 and 5 will need to purchase a purple polo shirt from the spirit store for choir performances. Email emily.alcock@cpsb.org with questions or concerns. 

Themed shirts with student names will be added to the spirit store in August. 

 

BUS RIDERS

Bus transportation is provided from all areas of Calcasieu Parish.

Click HERE to add student names to our bus rosters and view drop-off/pick-up locations.

A separate form should be completed for each student.

Additional paperwork will be required from each bus driver. This will be given to students when they ride the bus for the first time.

Bus transportation will be available on the first day of school, August 12th.

 

EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM

Our Extended Day Program is open until 6:00 pm daily for all students. Registration packets will be available in August.

Registration packets can be picked up and filled out at Meet & Greet or downloaded from this site (in August) and returned to school.

All registration packets will be due by August 12th, the first day of school.

Rates will be monthly only, no drop-in attendance allowed. Advance payments are required. 

 

SAVE THE DATE

New Parent Orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 6:00 PM. Students will visit their classrooms and parents will gather in the cafeteria for an informational meeting. This meeting is for families of all K students and new students in grades 1 - 5.

Kindergarten Meet & Greet will take place August 3rd and 4th. Students will be individually scheduled to meet their teacher. Families will be contacted by their child's teacher. Those not able to attend due to prior engagements are invited to schedule a time to meet their teacher before the start of school.

Meet & Greet for all students in grades 1 - 5 will be held Wednesday, August 10th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. This is a come and go event to drop off supplies, meet the teacher, and receive back to school paperwork. 

2:00 - 3:00: Students with last names A - L

3:00 - 4:00: Students with last names M - Z

These dates and times are contingent upon completion of summer hurricane repairs being conducted at the school. Advance notice will be provided if updates are necessary. 

 

CLASS LISTS

Families will receive an email from their homeroom teacher the first week of August to notify them of homeroom assignments.
