Dual Enrollment information (Update 5/7/2020: requirements for ACT/PreACT changed)

Students that will be Seniors (Class of 2021) may be eligible to participate in the Dual Enrollment program at McNeese, Sowela or on the Iowa High campus.  Juniors planning to take Algebra III may be eligible to participate in the Dual Enrollment program on the Iowa High campus.  Participants earn high school credit needed to graduate and college credit.  

 

 

Current requirements:
    There is not an ACT composite score requirement.
    Students that do not have an ACT or PreACT score need to take a summer ACT test.  Changed on 5/7/2020.

  If students don’t have an Act or PreACT score, they can take the Accuplacer (without ACT/PreACT scores) 

 

For MSU  the student will have to take the Math accuplacer and score 263 +

                                                                            English/Writing and score 250 +

 

For Sowela the student will have to take it in all three areas  -
       Reading and score 225+
                           Writing and score 250 +                       Math QAS and score 250+
