AHEC of a Summer

AHEC is a program that gives high school students in grades 9-11 that are interested in health careers, an opportunity to obtain first-hand experience in a healthcare facility.  Students take part in volunteer work at hospitals or health centers for 3 weeks where they will learn about health issues, patient care, job readiness skills, volunteer service, post-secondary education for healthcare professions, and more.  Students may earn 0.5 unit of elective credit upon completion of the program.  There are limited spaces so APPLY TODAY.  Get an application from your science teacher.
