Attendance Recovery is a component of classroom (tier 1) and school (tier 2) intervention.
Attendance recovery may be utilized by a student who is concurrently enrolled in a Carnegie Unit course and will be denied credit in coursework due to excessive absences.
Attendance recovery must be linked to academic work/assessments that reflect course content.
There is a $20 fee per course, maximum $80 per semester.
Attendance recovery must be completed during a specific time frame.
Failure to complete attendance recovery will result in no credit in course.
Attendance Recovery (Seat Time)
o Price? $20 per class with a cap of $80/per semester. Will pay Mrs. Evans, Room 217. Will receive a receipt upon payment. Must be paid in full to receive grade back once ALL time is completed.
o How? Complete Seat-Time at school level. Notice of Attendance Recovery will be given out at End of 2nd Nine Weeks and End of the 4th Nine Weeks. Will also be identified on report card with a start (*). Calendar will be given to student of scheduled offered days of recovery through email, website, counselor, and/or mail with report card. It is your responsibility as a student to view Jcampus to find out if you have Attendance Recovery.
o Where? School Site Only. Attendance Recovery will take place in Computer Labs and/or Classroom. (Calendar will state location). Students must sign in and out, and schools must submit the sign in/out sheet.
o Method? Achieve 3000/ACT Mastery/ Edgunity, Workkeys. MUST work ACTIVELY the entire time in order to earn credit back. Failure to do so will result in noncredit, dismissal from recovery, and/or repeat of course next school year.
o Who? Grades 9-12
o When? Mon – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. This is not a POP-IN EVENT. You must report at 9:00am or 12:00 pm. You will not be able to enter site at any other time. No buses will run. Parent/guardian responsibility for drop off/pickup.
School uniforms must be worn.
All attendance recovery must be completed and paid for by June 13th at 12:00 pm.
o Grade Earned? Students will earn the grade they obtained in the course once all seat time is completed. Students that do not complete seat time by the set deadline will receive a grade of “F.” Seat time cannot be completed from prior school years.
