Ms. McClendon is a Special Education Master Teacher at LaGrange High School where she is the Department Head, Master Sped. teacher (Leap Connect), and the head girl’s Softball coach. Ms. McClendon has helped several Leap Connect Students overcome obstacles and received their diplomas. Last year, her students completed The Safety and Pollution Certification and received an industry based certification graduation cord  (One of the first in Calcasieu Parish for Leap Connect Students).  She created the Elements Virtual Curriculum Program during the Covid and Hurricane period. She has served as the presenter for Element Curriculum at The Special Education Teacher’s In-services. This is her 30th year in education and she holds a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Teaching, specializing in Reading and Science. She has always worked at the high school level in Special Education. Ms. McClendon enjoys pushing her students to achieve higher heights in their educational journey and is proud of her softball girls. Her students call her classroom “The House”, (A place, where they can always come back to). Congratulations Coach Tee!
