H Drive Discipline Ladder

   

This ladder of progression is for use in tracking and incorporating strategies and consequences that are minor in nature; offenses would be considered Level 1 and some Level 2 per the CPSB Student Code of Conduct.

 

TEAM DISCIPLINE LADDER:

This ladder spans the length of each semester.

 

1st Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda *No contact needed

2nd Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, Student/Teacher conference *No contact needed

3rd Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda *No contact needed

4th Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, Student/Team conference, 1 day of lunch detention

5th Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, 2 days of lunch detention

6th Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, 3 days of lunch detention

7th Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, referral to Counselor

8th Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, Student/Team/Parent Conference, RTI Referral

9th Offense       Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, ODR for 1 day of afterschool detention

10th Offense     Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, ODR for 2 days of afterschool detention

11th Offense     Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, ODR for 1 day ISS, admin contacts parent

12th Offense     Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, ODR for 2 days of ISS, admin contacts parent

13th Offense     Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, ODR for 1 day OSS, admin contacts parent

14th Offense     Entry in H-drive, notation in agenda, ODR for 2 days of OSS, admin contacts parent

16th Offense     Entry in H-drive, ODR recommending Expulsion pending hearing

*Parents/Guardians will be contacted by phone or email starting with the 4th offense H-drive

 

 

**Note: Once a student acquires their 4th h-drive for the same infraction, the 4th infraction will be written on an official Office Discipline Referral (ODR) because it will be considered a habitual violation.  Any repeated infraction of that same habitual violation will be written on an ODR and the administration will issue the consequence deemed appropriate within policy.

 

TARDY/DRESS CODE LADDER:

This ladder spans the length of each semester.  Level 1, Level 2, and (in extreme cases) Level 3 strategies are used.

 

Tardy Ladder:

1st Tardy          Noted in agenda and JCampus

2nd Tardy          Noted in agenda and JCampus

3rd Tardy          Noted in agenda and JCampus

4th Tardy          ODR: “Excessive Tardiness” – 1 day of afterschool detention

5th Tardy          ODR: “Excessive Tardiness” – 1 day of ISS

6th Tardy          ODR: “Excessive Tardiness” – 1 day of OSS

 

Dress Code Ladder:

1st Violation     Noted on Dress Code Card in office

2nd Violation    Noted on Dress Code Card in office

3rd Violation     Call Home or Letter Home by discipline office

4th Violation     1 day of lunch detention, parent to sign violation

5th Violation     2 days of lunch detention, parent to sign violation

6th Violation     ODR: “Continued Open Defiance” – 1 day of afterschool detention

7th Violation     ODR: “Continued Open Defiance” – 2 days of afterschool detention

8th Violation     ODR: “Continued Open Defiance” – 1 day of ISS

9th Violation     ODR: “Continued Open Defiance” – 2 days of ISS

10th Violation   ODR: “Continued Open Defiance” – 1 day of OSS
